Woodlore® Plus Shutters use ABS, a lightweight thermoplastic polymer, for the louvers. ABS is often used in high-end endurance applications, like car parts, and is VOC-safe and CARB-compliant. Norman® engineers looked to aircraft for design inspiration for Woodlore® Plus Shutters louvers. Each louver contains an intricate, hidden structural support system that maintains rigidity without added weight.

Normandy® Shutters are artfully crafted with Paulownia wood and feature luxurious graining with elegant natural characteristics. The wood for Normandy® Shutters goes through a patented drying technique, Prescription Wood Conditioning®, that customizes the moisture content to match the buyer’s local climate. A series of sanding sequences with progressively finer sandpaper opens the wood's pores for better absorption of paint or stain.

Heritance® Wood Shutters use responsibly sourced, rapidly renewable wood, making them eco-friendly. Truemill® dovetail construction uses tightly interlocking components instead of traditional glue and dowel methods to create a shutter with robust structural strength. Hunter Douglas Heritance® Wood Shutters are available in various paint and stain finishes, including custom colors and three louver sizes.
