Non-Pleated Styles


Non-pleated styles are exactly what they sound like—drapes without pleats. They have a perfectly flat look against your window treatments. These drapes may look best in traditional or formal themes.


A few features of non-pleated styles are:

  • Grommet Heading: Eight grommets per width; available in five finishes, including antique brass, brushed nickel, and rust.
  • Rod Pocket Heading: Custom rod pocket sizes are available. The ordered widths determine the fullness.
  • Plain Top Drapery: Decorative rods and rings give plain top drapery its elegant style, making it great for stationary side panels

Pleated Styles


Unlike non-pleated styles, pleated styles have multiple folds or creases, offering a fuller appearance. This look often complements a modern aesthetic.


Unique folds you can get with Carole Fabrics™ pleated styles include:

  • Goblet Pleat: The goblet-shaped pleats are a fantastic choice for formal rooms and are recommended for decorative use only.
  • Inverted Pleat: Three-fold pleats with a 4” buckram for crisp lines, tacked ½” from the top, are ideal for traversing or stationary panels.
  • Monarch Pleat: Also known as the butterfly pleat, this two-fold style features a single bar tack 2” below the top to emphasize the crease’s shape.
  • Olivia Pleat: This crisp two-fold pleat with tacks ½” from the top of the buckram is an excellent choice for a sophisticated space.
  • Three-Finger Pinch Pleat: This is the classic pleat style seen in upscale settings. It’s tacked ¼” from the bottom of the heading for full, straight pleats.

  • Front Fold Roman Shade: Front fold shades have stiffener rods sewn into the face of the shade, creating crisp folds with minimal dressing needed when raising or lowering it.
  • Hobbled Roman Shade: This is one of the more luxurious shades, maintaining its folds even when you lower the shade completely.
  • Reverse Fold Roman Shade: Another style with stiffener rods to maintain crisp lines with minimal dressing, reverse fold Roman shades can disrupt patterns when portions tuck into the folds.
  • Slouch Roman Shade: This style features a scalloped bottom that retains shape in any shade.
